I found my way to this movie because of Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford. She was in the thumbnail picture on Netflix and I figured why not? When comparing this movie to the other ones I had watched this season, this one wasn’t the greatest but wasn’t the worst. Hands down, A Christmas Prince was the worst movie I saw this past holiday season.
There was nothing special about this movie. A few of the antics were a bit over the top for the rest of the tone of the movie. I was bored throughout this whole movie. I found the storyline such a snooze-fest that I had to watch the movie a couple of times to see the whole thing. I could constantly forget that it was on and walk out of the room forgetting to pause it. I fell asleep once while trying to watch it.
I had hoped that this would have been a better movie than it was, but alas it was not. The fault I find with this movie, I believe lies solely in the script. The whole story was such a drag that I found it impossible to keep my attention unless annoyed with over-the-top antics. This one for me is a toss-up if you want to check it out. It’s not good, it’s not bad, it’s meh.
I give this movie 2.5 out of 5 stars.
