This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama series, The Chair. This show ran from 2021 to 2021. It is rated TV-MA with no additional information provided on the rating. There is 1 season for a total of 6 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 30 minutes. Starring in this series are Sandra Oh, Jay Duplass, and Bab Balaban. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: At a major university, the first woman of color to become chair tries to meet the dizzying demands and high expectations of a failing English Department.
This show did a lot of set-ups for no payoff since these six episodes are all we are going to get. I enjoyed this show and what it was working towards. I would have liked to see what a second season would have brought to the table story-wise. I know I was interested to see how a couple of the storylines would play out. I think this show is worth a watch.
I give this show 4 out of 5 stars.
Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Donald J. Davis. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic mystery series, Messiah. Until then keep binge watching the episodes; Nerd out!
