This week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the society & culture podcast, I Pray You Put This Journal Away. This show was last updated in May 2021. I found this podcast to be a fascinating look into the world of Fundamentalist Evangelical Christians in the United States. Given the timing of the release of this podcast, it was interesting to revisit the country’s obsession with the Duggar family and those who were trying to be close to them at the height of their power. I also appreciated listening to some of the deconstructing the hosts had done around their experience with the group. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone that has an interest in the fundie world but does not want to give the fundies any money.
I give this podcast 4 out of 5 stars.
