This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic sports film, Home Team. This movie was released in 2022 and has a running time of 1 hour & 35 minutes. This film is rated PG for the following reasons: mild profanity; and mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. Starring in this movie are Kevin James, Taylor Lautner, and Rob Schneider. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: The story about New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton coaching his son’s 6th grade football team, when Payton was suspended for the entire 2012 season as a result of his role in the Saints’ Bountygate Scandal.
This was a cute film. I enjoyed the film with my entire family. The timing of the release of this film and Sean Payton’s retirement from the NFL was interesting, to say the least. It may have also been a factor in my watching this film quickly after its release. I enjoyed the cast and thought they all did a fantastic job. I enjoyed the Sean Payton cameo in the film as well. If you enjoy sports films this movie is definitely worth the watch.
I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.
Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama series, The Chair. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic romance film, Love, Guaranteed. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
