This week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Kayla Rodriguez. Kayla is classified as a lost/injured missing person. She has been missing since October 23rd, 2019, and was last seen in Novato, California.
Kayla was born on January 20th, 1992, and was 27 years old when she went missing. She is described as a Hispanic female, 5’5”, 205 lbs, with brown hair, and brown eyes. Kayla has her ears pierced and an indentation-type scar on her forehead. She was last known to be wearing an orange or coral sweater, black leggings, and carrying a white purse.
Kayla was last seen on October 23rd. She had been a passenger in Justin Winfrey’s plane. The plane was a red and white single-engine Piper Arrow with the tail number N4958. They had taken off from Novato at approximately 6:22 p.m. They were headed north for Mendocino County but never arrived. Per data usage records, Kayla tried to access her phone at 9:14 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. The radar tracked the plane five miles off the coast, between Rockport and Wheeler at 9:23 pm, and then it disappeared. A two-week search turned up no signs of Kayla, Justin, or the plane. Law enforcement is presuming that they are both deceased, however, their bodies have never been found.
If you have any information on Kayla or her disappearance, please contact the San Francisco Police Department by phone at (415) 553-1071.
