This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the action-adventure series, Hawkeye. This show ran from 2021 to 2021. It is rated TV-14 for the following reasons: moderate violence & gore; mild profanity; mild alcohol/drugs/smoking; and mild frightening & intense scenes. There is 1 season for a total of 6 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 45 minutes. Starring in this series are Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, and Florence Pugh. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Series based on the Marvel Comics superhero Hawkeye, centering on the adventures of young Avenger, Kate Bishop, who took the role after the original Avenger, Clint Barton.
This show was meh. I don’t feel like it added anything to the MCU. I didn’t feel like I learned anything essential. It was nice to see Hawkeye removed from the Avengers group. You can watch it if you want. But I feel like this is proof that you don’t have to consume every MCU release to follow what is going on in the major film releases.
I give this TV show 2.5 out of 5 stars.
