Missing: Siphat Chau

This week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Siphat Chau. Siphat is classified as an endangered missing person. He was last seen on December 24th, 2005, in Portland, Maine.

Siphat was 19 years old when he went missing. He is described as an Asian male, 5’8”, 140 lbs, with black hair, and brown eyes. Siphat is of Vietnamese descent and has a scar on his chin. He has the nickname, Phat. Siphat was last known to be wearing a red sweatshirt, blue jeans, a beanie hat, and possibly a black coat.

Few details are available in this case. Siphat was last seen by his family, lying on the couch in the family home on December 24th, 2005. This sighting is reported as being around 1 am. Later on, it was discovered that he had gone without taking his wallet, car, or keys. Siphat had been having problems in his personal life but did not discuss them with others.
