This week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Genoveba Ortega Alvarez. Genoveba is classified as an endangered missing person. She was last seen on December 31st, 2016, in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Genoveba was 29 years old when she went missing. She is described as a Hispanic female, 5’1” – 5’5”, 170 lbs, with brown hair, and brown eyes. Genoveba has tattoos on both of her arms. She was last known to be wearing a white sweater, a black blouse, and black pants.
Genoveba was last seen on December 31st, 2016, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She had been driving her gray 2011 Hyundai. The vehicle was later recovered from where it was found wrecked and abandoned in a ravine near the 3400 block of Bust Head Road in The Plains, Virginia. The circumstances of the case and disappearance are unclear to authorities.
