This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the holiday film, Happiest Season. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes. This film is rated PG-13 for the following reasons: mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. Starring in this movie are Kristen Stewart, Mackenzie Davis, and Mary Steenburgen. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: A holiday romantic comedy that captures the range of emotions tied to wanting your family’s acceptance, being true to yourself, and trying not to ruin Christmas revealing a nasty secret.
This film is hands down one of my favorite holiday films ever. I will be rewatching this every holiday season multiple times. I appreciate the various queer stories and experiences that are represented in this film. I found so much of this film to be relatable. I loved the cast and I had been a little worried at first. This is an absolute must-watch holiday film. I cannot recommend it enough.
I give this film 4.5 out of 5 stars,
Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the holiday series, Blown Away Christmas. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the holiday film, A California Christmas: City Lights. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
