Missing: Jessica G. Lopez

This week for the Missing Person Thursday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Jessica G. Lopez. Jessica is classified as an endangered missing person. She was last seen on November 3rd, 2019, in New Windsor, New York.

Jessica was 36 years old when she went missing. She is described as a Hispanic female, 5’2”, 123 lbs, with brown hair, and brown eyes. Jessica has the following tattoos: a red rose (back of neck); “Y Loca” (side of neck); script-style writing (left ankle). She also has a scar from the side of her head to the back and one on her right ankle. Jessica has pierced ears and a mole above her left eyebrow.

Foul play is suspected in this case. Jessica was last seen at the Windsor Motel on Route 92 in New Windsor, New York in the early hours of November 3rd, 2019. She had been staying there with her sometimes boyfriend, Matthew Mercado. She has not been heard from since. Law enforcement believes that Mercado murdered Jessica during a domestic violence incident. They have not recovered her remains.

If you have any information on Jessica or her disappearance, please contact the New Windsor Police Department by phone at (845) 565-7000 or the Newburgh Police Department by phone at (845) 561-3131.
