Midnight Mass

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic horror series, Midnight Mass. This show ran from 2021 to 2021. It is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: severe violence & gore; moderate profanity; mild alcohol/drugs/smoking; and severe frightening & intense scenes. There are 1 season for a total of 7 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 62 minutes. Starring in this series are Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, and Kristin Lehman. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: An isolated island community experiences miraculous events – and frightening omens – after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest.

If you have religious trauma, you may want to exercise caution when consuming this. I enjoyed this show. The story was good, there were certain things that I saw the hints for, but I was blindsided a few times by twists. I loved the visual tone of the show, it added to the performances of the cast. I recommend this show to those who like horror and psychological thrillers.

I give this show 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Ivy Lynn Mantell. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the drama series, Bloodline. Until then keep binge watching the episodes; Nerd out!
