Missing: Garland Teel Ford

This week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Garland Teel Ford. Garland is classified as an endangered missing person. He was last seen on September 1st, 2012, in Wilmer, Alabama.

Garland was born on July 3rd, 1935, and was 76 years old when he went missing. He is described as a white male, 5’10” – 6’0”, 185 – 200 lbs, with gray receding hair, and hazel eyes. Garland has a pacemaker.

Few details are available in this case. Garland had moved from Arkansas to Alabama with a married couple in March 2012. His last conversation with his daughter was in September and he had stated that he wanted to move back home. No one in his family has heard from Garland since. Law enforcement spoke with the couple, who stated that Garland felt their residence on foot to go back to Arkansas. Authorities and Garland’s family do not believe this to be the case given Garland’s health at the time of his disappearance. Police have searched the couple’s property and have not turned up any trace of Garland.

If you have any information on Garland or his disappearance, please contact Bradley Grandquest of the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office by phone at (251) 581-1181. Please make sure to reference case number S12120524.
