Fear Street: 1994

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the horror film, Fear Street: 1994. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 47 minutes. This film is rated R for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity; severe violence & gore; moderate profanity; moderate alcohol/drugs/smoking; and moderate frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Kiana Madeira, Olivia Scott Welch, and Benjamin Flores Jr. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: A circle of teenage friends accidentally encounter the ancient evil responsible for a series of brutal murders that have plagued their town for over 300 years. Welcome to Shadyside.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was. Because I grew up on Goosebumps and Fear Street, I was worried that this might be a little too cheesy/kiddish for me to enjoy it. However, this was a fantastic film, and I loved the entire thing. I think the cast did a great job, the story kept me on my toes. Overall, I loved this film and highly recommend it.

I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedy series, The Letdown. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the horror film, Fear Street: 1978. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
