Fear Street: 1978

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the horror film, Fear Street: 1978. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 49 minutes. This film is rated R for the following reasons: moderate sex & nudity; severe violence & gore; severe profanity; moderate alcohol/drugs/smoking; and severe frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Sadie Sink, Emily Rudd, and Ryan Simpkins. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Shadyside, 1978. School’s out for summer and the activities at Camp Nightwing are about to begin. But when another Shadysider is possessed with the urge to kill, the fun in the sun becomes a gruesome fight for survival.

This was a fantastic sequel to the first film. Even though this story takes place years before the event from the first film, it builds upon that story. The lore building around the town and the witch is some of my favorite. The cast was again just as great as the first film. These are really fantastic films and I highly recommend watching both of them for the storytelling.

I give this film 4.5 out of 5 stars,

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama series, The Shrink Next Door. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the horror film, Fear Street: 1666. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
