This week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Wilbur Anthony Pate. Wilber is classified as an endangered missing person. He was last seen on November 14th, 2012 in Evansville, Indiana.
Wilber was born on February 6th, 1956, and was 56 years old when he went missing. He is described as a white male, 5’5” – 5’10”, 160-170 lbs, gray hair, and hazel eyes. Wilbur has a scar on his left eyebrow and wears glasses. He was last known to be wearing a dark-colored shirt that had a pocket on the left side, a dark lightweight jacket, tan pants, and glasses.
Foul play is suspected in this case. Wilbur was last seen after he got off work at 10 p.m. from the local Walmart. His roommate reported that Wilbur gathered his belongings and left. However over a month later, several of Wilbur’s items were found in the residence of the roommate’s girlfriend. One of those items was a plane ticket that Wilbur had to go to Virginia for a job interview. He never made the flight. Wilbur’s car had been found abandoned in Yelvington, Kentucky. He was known to keep personal items in his vehicle, however, none of those items were found with the vehicle when it was located.
