This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the action-comedy film, The Lovebirds. This movie was released in 2020 and has a running time of 1 hour & 26 minutes. This film is rated R for the following reasons: moderate sex & nudity; mild violence & gore; moderate profanity; mild alcohol/drugs/smoking; and mild frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Issa Rae, Kumail Nanjiani, and Paul Sparks. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: A couple experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery.
I loved this film. I laughed my way through it more than once. The story is over-the-top and I am here for it. I enjoyed the casting, I think everyone did a wonderful job in their roles. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something that is silly and funny to enjoy and laugh through.
I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.
