Encanto

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the animated comedy film, Encanto. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes. This film is rated PG for the following reasons: mild violence & gore; and mild frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie is Stephanie Beatriz, Maná Cecilia Botero, and John Leguizamo. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: A Colombian teenage girl has to face the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers.

This is probably my favorite Disney film of the year. I have watched and rewatched this film many times over with and without my kids. I love all the colors used throughout the film. The songs are catchy and addictive to listen to. I love the magical realism in the movie. Highly recommend this film to everyone.

I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the action-adventure series, Shadow & Bone. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the documentary film, Return to Hogwarts. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
