This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama film, A Madea Homecoming. This movie was released in 2022 and has a running time of 1 hour & 45 minutes. This film is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity; mild violence & gore; moderate profanity; and mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. Starring in this movie are Tyler Perry, Cassi Davis, and David Mann. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Madea’s back hallelujer. And she’s not putting up with any nonsense as family drama erupts at her great-grandson’s college graduation celebration.
I loved this movie. It was funny and heartfelt. I love the lessons to be learned from this movie. I think my favorite thing was the non-reaction that was had at the graduation party. I wish more people would have that experience and I hope that as time goes on that does become the norm. I absolutely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys quirky family dynamics within multi-generational families.
