Winter On Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the documentary film, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom. This movie was released in 2015 and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes. This film is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity; severe violence & gore; mild profanity; and severely frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Bishop Agapit, Catherine Ashton, and Serhii Averchenko. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: A documentary on the unrest in Ukraine during 2013 and 2014, as student demonstrations supporting European integration grew into a violent revolution calling for the resignation of President Viktor F. Yanukovich.

I appreciated this film. It gave me a better understanding of the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This is a very graphic film, so be aware of that before watching. I think this is an important film to watch. It will provide better context to those who have not been in the know about the history of conflict between the two countries. Highly recommend this documentary film.

I give this film 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama series, Pretty Smart. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic romance film, The Wrong Missy. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
