Radio Silence by Alice Oseman

This week for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the fictional young adult novel, Radio Silence by Alice Oseman. This book was published in February 2016 by HarperCollins Publishers and has a page count of 496 pages. The audiobook is read by Aysha Kala and is 10 hours & 23 minutes in length. The following overview is provided from the B&N page: Frances Janvier spends most of her time studying. Everyone knows Aled Last as that quiet boy who gets straight As. You probably think that they are going to fall in love or something. Since he is a boy and she is a girl. They don’t. They make a podcast. In a world determined to shut them up, knock them down, and set them on a cookie cutter life path, Frances and Aled struggle to find their voices over the course of one life-changing year. Will they have the courage to show everyone who they really are? Or will they be met with radio silence?

If you ever feel lost or alone this book is fantastic. I love the messaging behind the story. I highly recommend this read. It pulled at my heartstrings in all the ways I needed it to as I read it. I was lost in the story with the characters. I look forward to reading this one again and again.

I give this novel 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Hermunegildo Cux Morente. Next week for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the contemporary romance novel, Making Faces by Amy Harmon. Until then keep reading on; Nerd out!
