This week for the Writing Thursday feature, I am presenting some of my own original writings. These poems that I am posting are from when I first decided to be a writer. My point in providing this content even when at times is cringe-worthy is just to show my growth as a writer. I hope that you get some amusement from this week’s feature. Tomorrow for the Fiction Friday feature, I am reviewing the young adult fictional novel, Radio Silence by Alice Oseman. Need
I need to sleep.
I need happiness.
I need to be free from this prison.
I need love.
I need to get out.
I need my own life.
I need to love others.
I need to feel something good.
I need less stress.
I need justice.
I need to disappear.
I need my own path.
I need help.
Maybe I just need to need.
You and Me
My heart is beating so fast,
I can barely breathe.
Time slips away when you’re around,
It’s not fair.
I love it when I’m with you,
I would do anything to be with you forever.
To have you to hold me tight,
Never letting go,
Never willing to leave.
But in the end,
It will always happen.
To go back to our lives,
So differently we live.
Yet, the love we have…
Is so vast and grand.
I’ll see you again,
At the same time sharp.
Missing you every moment until then.
May we go on forever.
