Dear White People

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama series, Dear White People. This show ran from 2017 to 2021. It is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: severe sex & nudity; moderate violence & gore; severe profanity; moderate alcohol/drugs/smoking; and frightening & intense scenes. There are 4 seasons for a total of 40 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 30 minutes. Starring in this series are Logan Browning, Brandon P. Bell, and DeRon Horton. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: At a predominately white Ivy League college, a group of black students navigate various forms of racial and other types of discrimination.

This is an amazing show. I cannot rave about it enough. It is absolutely fantastic and I enjoy the highlighting of intersectionality that is lacking in many shows of the past decade. So many takes away can be had from watching this show. And from watching it more than once. I highly recommend this show.

I give this show 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Janice Ruth LaPlant. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic crime series, Only Murders in the Building. Until then keep binge watching the episodes; Nerd out!
