This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic romance film, Little Italy. This movie was released in 2018 and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes. This film is rated R for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity; mild profanity; and mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. Starring in this movie are Emma Roberts, Hayden Christensen, and Danny Aiello. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: A young couple must navigate a blossoming romance, amidst a war between their families’ competing pizza restaurants.
I thought this movie was cute. While people may find the reason the families fell out to be a little over-the-top, it is something I have found to be true more often than I would like to admit. I love the cast of this film. I also love how there is an aspect of found family in the film. Yes, there is a level of cheesiness to the film, but I think that happens with all romance films. I recommend this movie, especially if you need a feelgood, follow-your-dreams style movie.
I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars.
