Latinx Lens

This week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the TV & film podcast, Latinx Lens. This show debuted in June 2020. There are 71 episodes to listen to at the time of writing. The following overview is provided from the Apple Podcast page: Two proud Latinas discuss Latinx representation in film and television through their lens.

I love this podcast and its perspective on film and television. There are many valid points made about representation in various episodes of this podcast. However, I absolutely love that the hosts are honest that sometimes things miss the mark for them and there isn’t a lengthy explanation why. They just didn’t like it, and I am so happy that they normalized that opinion. I love the hosts and their energy when they are really into something. But I feel them and their energy when they don’t like something. This is a fantastic podcast and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to diversify the reviews they are consuming.

I give this podcast 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama film, The House of Flowers presents The Funeral. Next week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the news podcast, Independent Thought. Until then keep listening on; Nerd Out.
