The Matrix Resurrections

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the sci-fi action film, The Matrix Resurrections. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 2 hours & 28 minutes. This film is rated R for the following reasons: moderate violence & gore; moderate profanity; mild alcohol/drugs/smoking; and moderately frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Return to a world of two realities: one, everyday life; the other, what lies behind it. To find out if his reality is a construct, to truly know himself, Mr. Anderson will have to choose to follow the white rabbit once more.

This is everything I wanted out of a new Matrix movie. I was wary at first because I was worried that they would undo everything I loved about the original. I loved watching this more than once to catch all the subtle signs of which reality you were in. This film is amazing and a must-watch for anyone who loves Trinity the way I do.

I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the animated action series, Masters of the Universe Revelations. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the animated comedy film, Encanto. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
