This week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Lea Ann Zeigler. Lea is classified as an endangered missing person. She has been missing since September 8th, 2010, and was last seen in High Point, North Carolina.

Lea was born on April 22nd, 1970, and was 40 years old at the time she went missing. She is described as a white female, 5’8”, 140-160lbs, gray hair, and green eyes. Lea has the nicknames: Delap, Delapp, and Delay. She has scars on her right arm and hand as well as her left hand.

Lea has been homeless for the last few years. She has a sister that lives in town, who says that she would hear from Lea every few weeks. However, the sister has not had contact with her since September 2010.

If you have any information on Lea or her disappearance, please contact Detective Ken Leonard of the High Point Police Department by phone at (336) 887-7951 or by email at ken.leonard@highpointnc.gov. Please make sure to reference case number 2011-08529.

Tomorrow for the Writing Thursday feature, I am presenting an original scene. Next week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of David Paul Ruggiero. Until then keep sleuthing the cases; Nerd out!
