This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the animated action series, Masters of the Universe: Revelation. This show debuted in 2021. It is rated TV-PG for the following reasons: mild violence & gore; and mild frightening & intense scenes. There are 2 seasons for a total of 10 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 25 minutes. Starring in this series are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lena Headey, and Mark Hamill. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: The war for Eternia begins again in what may be the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor. A new animated series from writer-director Kevin Smith.
I did not watch the original series. However, I did watch this with my husband who had. While it took him longer to warm up to and enjoy the series, as a new viewer I enjoyed it from the beginning. When I asked my husband about his opinion, he felt that the storytelling in this series was better than the original. I am looking forward to seeing what Kevin Smith does with the next installation of the show. I loved the cast and couldn’t have picked a better set of actors for the job. I highly recommend this series, it is great for families to watch together.
I give this show 4 out of 5 stars.
Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Bobby Lee Fowler, Jr.. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the action-adventure series, Shadow & Bone. Until then keep binge watching the episodes; Nerd out!
