Shang-Chi & The Legend of the Ten Rings

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the action-adventure film, Shang-Chi & the Legend of the Ten Rings. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 2 hours & 12 minutes. This film is rated PG-13 for the following reasons: moderate violence & gore; mild profanity; mild alcohol/drugs/smoking; and mild frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Simu Liu, Awkwafina, and Tony Chiu-Wai Leung. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Shang-Chi, the master of weaponry-based Kung Fu, is forced to confront his past after being drawn into the Ten Rings organization.

I loved this film. This is my favorite Marvel movie ever. It might have to do with the timing in which I saw it. But the story was just as compelling as the action sequences. I loved the jokes and little humorous nods to other Marvel films. This is a must-watch film even if you don’t want to delve into the other MCU films.

I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the food reality TV series, Fresh Fried and Crispy. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic action film, Red Notice. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
