This week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Maegan Janean Hembree. Maegan is classified as an endangered missing person. She was last seen in Smyer, Texas on February 26th, 2013.
Maegan was born on August 6th, 1982, and was 30 years old when she went missing. She is described as a white female, 4’11”, 140 lbs, with brown hair, and green eyes. Maegan has the following tattoos: the Houston Astros logo (neck), a dark blue butterfly (back – right shoulder), a biohazard symbol (left ankle), and a Christian fish symbol (right foot). She was last known to be wearing a gray & purple sweatshirt with “Jimi Hendrix” printed on the front, blue jeans or pajama pants, and sneakers.
Maegan was last seen in Smyer, Texas at 6:30 pm on February 26th, 2013. She was headed to a friend’s house in Lubbock, Texas. Her vehicle was a two-door 1999 Saturn with the New Mexico License Plate: KJB142. Maegan never arrived at the friend’s house in Lubbock. The last time there was activity on her cell phone was a few hours after she was last seen. Three days later, law enforcement found Michael Todd Ramsey in possession of Maegan’s vehicle. The two had only known each other for a few months prior to Maegan’s disappearance. As far as authorities know he was the last known person to be with Maegan. Ramsey is a person of interest in the case. He does have a prior record but there are no violent offenses in his history.
