This week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the true crime podcast, Criminality. This show debuted in January 2021. This podcast has an explicit language warning. There are 30 episodes to listen to at the time of writing. The following overview is provided from the Apple Podcast page: Criminality is a podcast for those of us who love reality TV, true crime, and want to hear all the juicy stories where the two genres intersect. Every other Friday, host, Melissa (one half of Moms and Murder podcast) and Rebekah (host of DIE-ALOGUE), will share the true story of a reality personality who faced more than just champagne problems. You won’t find murder stories here, but fear not, there are crimes a plenty – fraud, arrests, mugshots, scandals, and more. CRIMINALITY: Because loving reality isn’t a crime!
I love this mashup of true crime and reality TV. This is a more light-hearted true crime podcast as murders are rare in this sphere. I was surprised by some of the scandals these stars have found themselves in. I like that they give background on their subjects, so I don’t feel like I have to be watching every reality show to keep up. This is a fantastic podcast for anyone who wants to enjoy a true crime podcast without all the dark and heavy topics found on most.
I give this podcast 4 out of 5 stars.
Tomorrow for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the Sci-Fi mystery film, Boss Level. Next week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the health & fitness podcast, Ask A Grief Specialist. Until then keep listening on; Nerd Out.
