Boss Level

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the sci-fi mystery film, Boss Level. This movie was released in 2020 and has a running time of 1 hour & 40 minutes. This film is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: severe violence & gore; severe profanity; mild alcohol/drugs/smoking; moderately frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Frank Grillo, Mel Gibson, and Naomi Watts. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Trapped in a time loop that constantly repeats the day of his murder, a former special forces agent must unlock the mystery behind his untimely demise.

I enjoyed this film. I felt there was a great mix of action, comedy, and storytelling. I had originally opted to watch the movie with my spouse thinking he would enjoy all the action that I had caught in the preview. Since films normally marketed for their action, tend to lack enough story for me to truly enjoy the movie. This film caught me off-guard with its tongue-in-cheek jobs, but underlying dramatic storyline.

I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the crime drama series, Who Killed Sara? Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the action-adventure film, Shang-Chi & the Legend of the Ten Rings. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
