This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic family film, Misfit. This movie was released in 2017 and has a running time of 1 hour & 26 minutes. This film did not provide a rating or any additional information for a rating. Starring in this movie is Djamila, Bente Fokkens, and Niek Roozen. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Moving back to her native Netherlands after years of living in the United States, a teenage girl navigates the intricacies of Dutch high school life.
I loved the premise of this film. I have seen a lot of films about people moving to the United States. So, it was interesting to watch a movie about a teen who had moved to the United States for a period of time but was now back in their home country. I loved seeing how another country tells the story of teen drama in school. I found the fact that they had the head of the school acting in such a manner amusing. I loved this movie, I will be searching for the other ones that I found out exist and delving into the show that is related but not a true spin-off from the films.
I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.
