This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the reality competition series, The Great British Baking Show. This series debuted in 2010. It is rated PG with no additional information provided on the rating. There are a total of 143 episodes for 11 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 58 minutes. Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are judges and Noel Fielding is a presenter on the show. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Bakers attempt three challenges each week trying to impress the judges enough to go through to the next round and eventually are crowned Britain’s best amateur baker.

I love this show, it’s so wholesome. The hosts and a judge have changed over the course of the series. I certainly have my favorites. This show has such a warm and comforting feel to it and it certainly doesn’t feel cutthroat like American competition shows. I don’t think I can watch competition shows the same way anymore. The fact that the other contestants encourage each other and try to build each other up is so different. If you enjoy food competition shows, baking shows, food shows in general, please, please, check out this show.

I give this show 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Austin Stephanos. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the documentary limited series, High Score. Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
