This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the adventure-comedy film, The Christmas Chronicles 2. This film was released in 2020 and has a running time of 1 hour & 52 minutes. This movie is rated PG for the following reasons: mild violence & gore. Starring in this film are Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn, and Darby Camp. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Kate Pierce, now a cynical teen, is unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a mysterious troublemaker threatens to cancel Christmas – forever.
This is as magical and wonderful as the first. I do enjoy that Mrs. Claus is a big part of this film and story. I like how they have expanded the universe from the first one. We get to experience more of the North Pole in this film. The set builders and prop makers deserve a ton of credit for their attention to detail. If you liked the first one, this one is worth watching as well. This is a fantastic sequel.
I give this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars.
