Christmas Break-In

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the family film, Christmas Break-In. This movie was released in 2018 and has a running time of 1 hour & 27 minutes. This film is rated TV-PG for the following reasons: mild profanity; and mild frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie is Danny Glover, Denise Richards, and Cameron Seely. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Izzy is an energetic 9-year-old. Overscheduled and running late, her parents can’t pick her up on time on the last day of school before Christmas break. A blizzard complicates the matter, but not as much so as a pair of bad guys who are freezing an ice cream truck. The school janitor is kidnapped by them, and it’s up to Izzy to save the day.

This film is probably best viewed by children between the ages of 6 and 9. As an adult I couldn’t get on board with the storyline. I liked the cast, but they couldn’t do much to save this lackluster story. Kids may enjoy this film but I do not recommend for adult to waste their time.

I give this movie 3 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the documentary series, Salt Fat Acid Heat. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the musical film, Diana: the Musical. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
