WandaVision

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the action-comedy series, WandaVision. This show ran in 2021. It is rated TV-PG for the following reasons: mild violence & gore; and moderate frightening & intense scenes. There is 1 season for a total of 9 episodes. Each episode has a running time of approximately 35 minutes. Starring in this series are Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and Kathryn Hahn. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Blends the style of classic sitcoms with the MCU, in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision – two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

SPOILER WARNING! THIS REVIEW CONTAIN SEMI-SPOILERS!!!!! Non-spoiler review: I loved it, you should watch it.

Okay, so I tried to watch the show as it came out, but I didn’t like the decade theme per episode at first. Once I was able to binge-watch the show, I appreciated that thematic choice more. I liked that they used Evan Peters as Wanda’s brother in the series. I think it helped solidify that what was happening wasn’t completely real. I didn’t see all the twists and turns coming. I enjoyed the playful nature of this show. It will be interesting to see how this plays into the next phase of the MCU. I also wish this show would have done multiple seasons with each season being themed after the different decades. Did you enjoy this show as much as I did?

I give this show 5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Samantha Ann Clarke. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the documentary series, The Holiday Movies That Made Us. Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
