The Guide to the Perfect Family (Le Guide De La Famille Parfaite)

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama film, The Guide to the Perfect Family. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes. This film is rated TV-14 for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity; mild profanity; and mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. Starring in this movie are Faycal Azzouz, Bianca Bellange, and Emilie Bierre. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: A couple in Quebec deals with the pitfalls, pressure and high expectations of raising kids in a society obsessed with success and social media image.

So, I spent a lot of this movie thinking about how I thought a couple of characters were trash. This movie is good and sparks some internal debates over your personal use of social media. There is an amazing message in this film. Everything I didn’t like about this movie was all the more reason I liked it when it was over. Characters will test your patience to the very limit and yet in the end they finally get it. I was really surprised that with everything I saw going on Rose was as normal as she was. But what is normal any way, right? This movie is worth checking out if you want a movie that makes you feel a whole spectrum of emotions.

I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the historical documentary series, History 101. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the holiday film, The Christmas Chronicles 2. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
