The Conjuring

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the mystery horror film, The Conjuring. This movie was released in 2013 and has a running time of 1 hour & 52 minutes. This film is rated R for the following reasons: moderate violence & gore; mild profanity; and severely frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this movie are Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, and Ron Livingston. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren work to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in their farmhouse.

I know of the Warrens because of Amityville and the show Paranormal State. It was interesting to watch a theatrical telling of one of their cases. I like horror movies like this a lot. I like the way it plays with your mind about what is truth and what is a lie. I like visuals used to give that creepy vibe to any given scene. I think they did a fantastic job casting this movie. I think each of the actors did an amazing job in their role. I would watch this film over and over again.

I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic adventure series, October Faction. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the mystery horror film, The Conjuring 2. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
