Premise: a talented musician struggles to make it big

This was day 23 of eating ramen for at least two meals of the day. My roommate was training to be a chef so generally there was at least one meal a day that she would cook for everyone to enjoy. Today it was lasagna that we would get to enjoy. I was filing my fingernails before continuing to work on my next song. I heard Vicky jostle into the residence from her latest shopping spree. Living in a house full of artists had its pros and cons. It was great for getting feedback and having others understand the struggles of the creative process. However, when you were the only one of your craft in the house, it could get lonely. I was getting desperate to create an anthem that would take off and get people to take me seriously. I mean if a singing duo that was dressed up as a crocodile and a trout calling themselves The Bog on the internet can get a record deal why can’t I? I could hear a news anchor on the living room TV talking about the federal government’s latest advancements in magnetic applications. There were some pretty cheesy repel jokes made that I could hear my roommates giggling at.
