Premise: magic in everyday occurrences

I was waiting for Zander to get back from his Krav Maga class, so to pass the time I was flipping through magazines on my touchscreen computer. The doorbell ringing caused me to jump, I opened the door to find an MLM vendor at my door. I was hoping that what spiel they were about to go into didn’t take too long. My stomach was starting to let me know exactly how hungry I had become while lost in those pages. The more the person talked the more the world seemed to fall away. It wasn’t until they placed a sweatband in my hand for to me inspect that my aversion to the material snapped me back to reality. I let them finish and politely declined to sign up for their monthly subscription club. They pushed the paper for a signature at me one more time when Zander walked up the steps. I again politely declined and shut the door. I opened the door after a few minutes to make sure they had actually left only to find that they had littered outside of my house. With a flick of my wrist, the garbage danced its way into the trash can that was a few feet down the street from our brownstone.
