This week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Lakira Dajour Goldsmith. Lakira is classified as an endangered missing person. She was last seen on November 28th, 2018 in Montgomery, Alabama. Lakira was born on July 24th, 1998, and was 20 years old when she went missing. She is described as an African American female, 5’4”-5’5”, 145-180lbs, with black hair, and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Lakira had blonde hair extensions. She has her ears and lower lip are pierced as well as a “snake eye” tongue piercing. Lakira has severe asthma and needs medication to help control it, the medication was left behind when she disappeared. Her nickname is Pig.

At the of her disappearance, Lakira was known to be wearing a black velvet knew-length dress, silver rhinestone choker, silver rhinestone earrings, and a silver lip ring. Lakira had been out with her boyfriend on November 27, 2018. Her grandmother saw the boyfriend drop Lakira off, as her grandmother saw her exit the vehicle but Lakira never made it inside the residence. A maintenance man for the apartment complex informed the Goldsmith family that he has let Lakira use his phone early in the morning on November 28th. It had been around 2 am when the maintenance man has left her outside while on his phone. When he returned, the phone was left on the steps and Lakira was nowhere in sight. Lakira has not been heard from since, and her family says it is uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning or be gone for long without using social media. Lakira left behind a two-year-old son, and her family does not believe that she would leave him willing. If you have any information on Lakira or her disappearance, please contact the Montgomery Police Department by phone at (334) 625-2810.
