Nightbooks

This week of the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the family fantasy film, Nightbooks. This movie was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 43 minutes. This film is rated TV-PG for the following reasons: mild violence & gore, mild profanity, and moderate frightening & intense scenes. Starring in this film are Winslow Fegley, Lidya Jewett, and Krysten Ritter. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Follows Alex, a boy obsessed with scary stories who is imprisoned by an evil young witch in her contemporary New York City apartment.

This movie is perfect for young horror fans. I absolutely adore Krysten Ritter in this movie. She does a fantastic job. I love the story. The firm is well done. I love the use of practical effects; it brings that extra bit of something special to the film. I look forward to adding this to my kids’ spooky film fest during the spooky season. I highly recommend this film to horror fans.

I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the reality TV series, Dream Home Makeover. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic horror film, Polaroid. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
