Double Dad (Pai em Dobro)

This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama film, Double Dad (Original Title: Pai em Dobro). This film was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 43 minutes. This movie is rated TV-G for the following reasons: mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. Starring in this film are Bill Rogers, Maisa Silva, and Eduardo Moscious. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: While her mom is away, a teen sneaks out of the hippie commune where she lives and embarks on a life-changing adventure to discover who her father is.

This was a pleasant surprise. I expected a super cheesy over-the-top film. Yet, this film was fun, heartwarming, and enjoyable. I could never imagine growing up so sheltered from modern society. I loved all the characters that we met and think they did a fantastic job with the casting. I love the messages this movie had. It had such a fantastic story and I loved how it ended. I highly recommend this film.

I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the sports drama series, Spinning Out. Next week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic fantasy film, A Fall From Grace. Until then keep consuming the cinema; Nerd out!
