The Queen’s Gambit

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the dramatic limited series, The Queen’s Gambit. This series was released in 2020. It is rated TV-MA for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity, moderate profanity, and moderate alcohol/drugs/smoking. There are a total of 7 episodes for the 1 season. Each episode has a running time of approximately 52 minutes. Starring in this show are Anya Taylor-Joy, Chloe Pirrie, and Bill Camp. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Orphaned at the tender age of nine, prodigious introvert Beth Harmon discovers and masters the game of chess in 1960s USA. But child stardom comes at a price.

I loved this limited series. Between the cinematography and the costumes, I was in love. Anya Taylor-Joy was amazing in this series. There are times when a scene has this haunted feeling and I feel like it’s a lighting effect that causes it and I love it. This show is just fantastic. If you want to see an amazing series, watch this one. I love all their attention to detail.

I give this show 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Abraham Romero Jimenez. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic drama series, Can You Hear Me? Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
