Mythical Monsters

This week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the myth & lore podcast, Mythical Monsters. This show debuted in 2019 and there are 100 episodes available at the time of writing on Spotify. The following overview is provided from the Spotify podcast page: The great heroes of myth are known throughout the world. Their deeds are legendary. But what would these champions be without obstacles in their path? Without monsters to challenge them… Dragons, sea serpents, giants, demons… they aren’t merely foils to the hero. They are primal symbols reflecting ancient truths. Mythical Monsters tells the stories of these beasts and asks what they represent to mankind. New episodes released every Monday. Mythical Monsters is a Spotify Original from Parcast.

If you love mythology, especially the creatures, this podcast is for you. Each episode is well-researched and structured in an easy-to-follow way. The storytelling is well done, and I absolutely love this podcast. I love learning the history behind the mythical monsters that the different cultures have.  I recommend this podcast to anyone into mythology and fantasy.

I give this podcast 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic crime film, I Care A Lot. Next week for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the true crime podcast, Kingpins. Until then keep listening on; Nerd out!
