Missing: Michael Ballard

This week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Michael Henley Ballard. Michael is classified as a lost/injured missing person. He has been missing since February 13th, 2017, and was last seen in Gloucester, Virginia.

Michael was 58 years old when he went missing. He is described as a white male, 5’10”, 170 lbs, with brown hair, and green eyes. Michael had a mustache and goatee at the time he went missing. He was last known to be wearing a tan shirt, khaki pants, brown boots, and a green & tan John Deere hat.

Michael was last seen on the morning of February 13th. He left his home to go kayaking, he was supposed to return home that evening but never did. His wife reported him missing the next morning at 10: 55 a.m. Police found Michael’s vehicle at the boat ramp without his kayak. Authorities did an extensive search of the York River that turned up no sign of Michael. Police presume he drowned.

If you have any information on Michael or his disappearance, please contact the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office by phone at (804) 693-3890.

Tomorrow for the Spotcast Sunday feature, I am reviewing the true crime podcast, Kingpins. Next week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Dorothy Vivian Autrey.
