This week for the Movie Monday feature, I am reviewing the comedic romance movie, Squared Loved (Original title: Milosc do kwadratu). This film was released in 2021 and has a running time of 1 hour & 42 minutes. This movie is rated TV-14 for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity, mild profanity, and mild alcohol/drugs/smoking. Starring in this film are Adrianna Chlebicka, Mateusz Banasiuk, and Agnieszka Zulewska. The following plot overview is provided from the IMDB page: A celebrity journalist and renowned womanizer starts to rethink his life choices after he falls for a mysterious model who leads a double life.
I really enjoyed this movie. The premise was a nice twist on the bad guy falls for the good girl trope. I felt like they did a good job of showing the stress of having two separate lives on a person. I watched the movie with captions in the original spoken language and I watched with the English dub and enjoyed it both ways. There were some really gorgeous outdoor shots that made me want to visit the location. I liked the casting. I felt like the chemistry between the leads wasn’t forced.
I give this film 4.5 out of 5 stars.
