Missing: John DeMarino

This week for the Missing Person Saturday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of John DeMarino. John is classified as an endangered missing person. He has been missing since January 30th, 2019, and was last seen in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

John was 51 years old when he went missing. He is described as a white male, 6’2” – 6’4”, 165-175 lbs, bald, and brown eyes. John has scars on the back of his head that look like multiple rows of white circles. He also has the following tattoos: infinity symbol on his upper left arm, arrows and circles on his right inner arm, and the Roman numeral VIII on his upper right arm at the shoulder. John was possibly wearing the following clothes when he disappeared: a green winter jacket, a red hooded sweatshirt, tan khaki pants, brown work boots, and a black wool beanie hat.

John was last seen at Uncle Mike’s Bar in Parkersburg, West Virginia, shortly before midnight on January 30th. He had ordered a drink and only drank half of it before getting up from where he had been seated. A bartender that saw him get up, believed that he was going to the bathroom and would be right back. However, John did not return to finish his drink. He had been carrying his wallet, car keys, and iPhone X at the time he went missing. John had been driving his mother’s car, a silver 2015 Ford Escape, it was found four days later abandoned at Love’s Truck Stop in Conneaut in northern Ohio, near the Pennsylvania border, a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Parkersburg. The circumstances of John’s disappearance are unclear.

If you have any information on John or his disappearance, please contact the Roane County Police Department by phone at (340) 927-3410 or the Spencer Police Department by phone at (304) 927-5615.
