Missing: Carie Melissa Zapletal

This week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Carie Melissa Zapletal. Carie is classified as an endangered missing person. She has been missing since December 2nd, 2014, and was last seen in Memphis, Tennessee.

Melissa was born on March 27, 1966, and was 48 years old when she disappeared. She is described as a white female, 4’11”, 120 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. Carie also goes by Carie Fuller. She has pierced ears, a c-section scar, and the following tattoos: a butterfly on her right upper chest and a barbwire design on her left upper arm. Carie was possibly wearing a black sweater, dark jeans, and contact lenses when she disappeared.

Carie’s husband filed a report stating that she had been asleep on the couch when he last saw her around 8:30 p.m. By 9:30 p.m., Carie had left the residence on foot and left all of her personal items at the residence.

If you have any information on Carie or her disappearance, please contact Lieutenant Cindy Capps of the Memphis Police Department by phone at (901) 636-4444. Please make sure you reference case number 1412001614ME.

Tomorrow for the Writing Thursday Feature, I am presenting an original scene. Next week for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Chip Michael Campbell. Until then keep sleuthing the cases; Nerd out!
