AJ & The Queen

This week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the comedic adventure series, AJ & the Queen. This series was released in 2020. This show is rated TV-14 for the following reasons: mild sex & nudity and mild profanity. There are a total of 10 episodes across a single season. Each episode has a running time of approximately 50 minutes. Starring in this show are RuPaul, Izzy G., and Michael Leon Wooley. The following overview is provided from the IMDB page: Ruby Red, a down-on-her-luck drag queen traveling across America, develops an unlikely sidekick named AJ.

I loved this show and was so sad that there was only one season of the show. I liked the fact that it had two main characters who were on the journey together for different reasons, but they found common ground. I really would have loved to see where the story could have gone if it had gotten another season. I recognized a lot of the drag queens that were featured in the series. If you love sass and fun trope characters, this is the show for you. I recommend this show to anyone who enjoys RuPaul’s Drag Race.

I give this show 4 out of 5 stars.

Tomorrow for the Missing Person Wednesday feature, I am highlighting the missing person’s case of Brandy Lee Winkler. Next week for the TV Tuesday feature, I am reviewing the documentary series, Chef’s Table BBQ. Until then keep binge-watching the episodes; Nerd out!
